Print Books

Use the Library Catalog from the home page to look up history books by keyword, author and title. For books that the Cal Poly Pomona Library does not own, are checked out or missing, or to greatly expand the scope and availability of your book search use the LINK+ system or the WorldCat database. If there are specific books not owned by our campus library, and not available in the LINK+ system, you can request our Document Delivery office to borrow the book from another library.

If you want to browse books by historical topic on the 6th Floor shelves or the library catalog using a call number search, use the Word documents below from the Library of Congress Classification Outline. The sample table below shows the call numbers for narrow topics in history. For example, to find books about the Johnson and Nixon presidential administrations during the Vietnam War, the table shows call numbers from E846 through E861.
