HST 2202: United States History, 14th Amendment

This guide is in support of the 14th Amendment group project for HST 2202, United States History.

Choice of Keywords

When doing your research in the library catalog for books and the databases for articles, keep in mind that authors may use two different spellings of your topic. Although the majority of books and articles use the full spelling of the amendment, some use numbers.

Also, when typing two or more keywords that form a phrase, place them in quotes so the search process looks for the phrase and not separate words.  For example:

"fourteenth amendment"

"14th amendment"
