My philosophy is for every student and family I work with to feel safe, respected, and represented. I believe in inclusivity and diversity throughout all works of life while working with children. In my classroom I want them to see themselves throughout the environment; the point is to be in a space seeing and saying to themselves "I Belong Here" as the motto. It is important to me that the children have opportunities to flourish and thrive to be the best people they can be. I believe in the children's voices being heard and advocating for differences that each one of us will bring to the learning environment. My thoughts follow the Reggio Emilia and Maria Montessori approach that children need to be free to think with creativity and be their own leaders/teachers. I believe in letting the children guide the experience and I am a trusting crutch for when they need assistance. Like the previous philosophers before me, they feel children construct knowledge through active engagement with the environment. The child is valued as being capable, resilient, strong, rich with knowledge. The children get access to real life experiences through their work and that is what will be accomplished through my teaching. The child will always know who they are. |
My teaching philosophy includes being inclusivity, support, and diversity amongst all other things. I want my classroom to be a place where students feel safe to be who they are as well as grow developmentally in a way that they need to be successful in their lives. It is important that children are placed in a nurturing environment where they feel like they are being supported and heard, and ultimately want to be an advocate for my students. I want them to be challenged educationally so that they are able to think creatively and openly with new ideas, and opportunities. |

Our teaching philosophy is that all children can learn. We also firmly believe that children all learn at different rates and in different ways. We believe that learning should be engaging and fun but it is also hard work.

As an educator I believe in building relationships with the children and their families in order to be able to support children's learning. This allows us to getting to know their strengths, abilities, interests, and their funds of knowledge so that it gives us a chance to plan lesson plans and activities accordingly. |
Knowing the importance and how to expand on a child's social, emotional, mental, and physical aspect and for us teachers to be able to nourish and help prepare them to expand on those areas with education and above in order to prepare them for their future and as they move into their educational years and life in helping them reach their full potential. |
