The Met offers a searchable database specifically for artworks in The Met's collection that were or could have been in Continental Europe between 1933 and 1945. Research is a work in progress. The database currently gives access to 3,401 works in the online collection, which has over 495,000 objects. This portal for provenance research resources was created in 2018 to honor the twentieth anniversary of the Washington Principles on Nazi-Confiscated Art.
