Computing Machinery and Intelligence: In this 1950 article, Alan Turing proposed that a machine could think.

Loebner Prize:  The Loebner Prize consists of $100,000 and a gold medal and is to be awarded to the first computer that passes Turing's test.

Cleverbot: An AI chatterbot that will respond to your statements based on the millions of conversations it's had over the internet.  It can be fun, but beware, since it learned to "chat" from the internet, you may find some of its responses to be inappropriate at times.

20Q.net:  Play 20 Questions with the neural-net on the internet.  This game has been described as "almost spooky" in its ability to figure out what you're thinking about-- and it "learns" the more times it gets played.
