Library Emeritus Benefits

The following may be borrowed or renewed by Emeriti: 

• A total of 150 general circulating books may be borrowed for 1 year (renewals allowed).  

• Media items may be checked out for a period of 30 days. 

• Atlas/Maps may be borrowed for 16 weeks. 

• Interlibrary Loan: 

  • CSU+ items may be borrowed for 16 weeks (No renewals) 

  • ILLiad loan periods are determined by the lending library 

• Comics/Graphic Novels may be checked out for 16 weeks

• Emeriti may checkout course reserve material (varies depending on the material)

In addition to physical items, Cal Poly Pomona Emeriti can access the library's online databases with their Bronco username and password.

"Failure to return or renew overdue materials is subject to suspension of library privileges until all materials are returned or fees for lost material are paid. At the time of payroll clearance all privileges are blocked and the final pay warrant will be held until fees are paid in full. Interlibrary Loan is one of the services offered to Cal Poly Pomona emeriti to obtain library materials that are not available at CPP University Library.  

Interlibrary loan provides the following services: 

• CSU+ is a consortium program that allows all 23 CSU libraries, as well as select participating libraries outside the CSU, to exchange library resources. 

• Interlibrary Loan (ILLiad) is a service that allows the patron to obtain library material not available in our collection or CSU+. This service will automatically search for availability in other public and academic libraries located within the United States or internationally.

The Circulation/Course Reserves Desk maintains a collection of reserve materials chosen by instructors to support their courses. The University Library offers emeriti the use of Course Reserves services in the form of physical material and library-owned eBooks and articles.
