The American Association of Geographers (AAG) is a nonprofit scientific and educational society founded in 1904. For more than 100 years the AAG has contributed to the advancement of geography.

Founded in 1935 by a gathering of geographers including graduate students and faculty from universities, normal schools, and junior colleges, the Association of Pacific Coast Geographers has a long and rich history promoting geographical education, research, and knowledge. Members gather at the APCG's annual meetings for social and intellectual interaction.

URISA is a multidisciplinary association where professionals from all parts of the spatial data community come together to share concerns and ideas. URISA fosters excellence in GIS through its programs, guiding and supporting GIS professionals throughout their careers

The Geospatial Information & Technology Association (GITA) is a member-led nonprofit professional association and leading advocate for anyone using geospatial technology to help operate, maintain, and protect the infrastructure, which includes organizations such as utilities, telecommunication companies, and the public sector.
