A Guide Toward Anti-Racist Instruction Using Library Frameworks

Anti-Racist Checklist

Some things to consider...

  • Books/ articles written by POCs, those who identify as LGBTQ+, immigrants, and other marginalized groups.
  • Books/ articles that discuss the experiences of marginalized communities.
  • Books/ articles that counter the dominant narrative and examine topics through a global perspective rather than eurocentric.
  • Look into independent publishers such as heydaybooks, Cassandra Press, and Theytus.
  • Utilize alternative sources such as oral histories, etc.
