If you are going to cite an encyclopedia in your research project, make sure to use an authoritative and reputable one, such as one of the library's many subject specific encyclopedias. Subject specific encyclopedia articles are written by experts, and thus the authorship of each article is usually listed, they are more specific and scholarly than general encyclopedias, and they often contain a list of recommended sources.
