Quick Start Guide:
The Media Studio is located on the 2nd floor of the library, room 2434, towards the rear of the building.
- Check out the Media Studio Kit located at the circulation desk on the 2nd floor.
- Swipe into the room with the access card from the Media Studio Kit.
- Insert your USB thumb drive into the slot under the Record, Stop, Pause, & Mark buttons.
- The 2 overhead lights should turn on.
- Remove the lens cap from the camera.
- The camera should display in the left monitor (if it does not, turn on the monitor, the power button is under the bottom on the right of the screen).
- When ready, press the Record button.
- The record button will light up red when recording has begun, the green light next to the USB slot will flash green.
- Press the pause button to pause the recording, press pause again to resume recording.
- Press Stop when you are finished.
- Wait a few seconds, the record button will no longer be red and the green light next to the USB slot will stop flashing and light up solid green.
- Remove your USB thumb drive.
- The 2 overhead lights will shut off and the camera will stop displaying in the left monitor.
- You can use the Media Studio computer to review your recording and make edits during your reservation.
- Use the mouse and keyboard provided in the Media Studio Kit.
- Be sure to turn on the mouse and keyboard.
- You will use your CPP credentials to login to the computer.
- Most other library computers also have editing software.
- Be sure to logout of the computer when finished.
- Once use of the Media Studio is complete:
- Return lens cap to camera.
- Be sure to log off of the computer.
- Gather all items supplied in the Media Studio Kit and return to the circulation desk. Overdue fines will be applied if you are late.
- Please make sure all users leave the Media Studio prior to check-in of the Media Studio Kit.
