BIO

This i s my second year here at Cal Poly Pomona, I will be graduating this Summer 2020 with a Bachelors in Early Childhood Studies. I will be applying for the Multiple Subject Credential Program after. My goal is to become a first or second grade teacher. Some of my interests include hiking, running, and spending time with my loved ones.

This coming fall will be my first year at Cal Poly Pomona. Before transferring here, I was at Mt. San Antonio College before transferring over. My major is in Early Childhood Studies. My educational and professional aspirations are to graduate from Cal Poly Fall of 2021 and the latest being Spring 2022.

Once I graduate, I intend to eventually go to grad school at Pepperdine University and get my MA in Psychology Applied Behavioral Analysis and get my credential in becoming a Board-Certified Behavioral Analysis. My main hobbies have always been playing video games and reading books. Currently reading the old Percy Jackson novels.

Teaching Philosophy

As a future educator, I believe that every child encompasses a unique essence, every child is capable and bright. I value strong relationships and giving students the opportunity to be creative with their minds and thinking outside of the box.

When I think what teaching means to me, I come to realize it is not about me. Being an educator means helping these children get through rough days when they just cannot seem to understand why the world is out to get them, to remind them that the next day is a new day.

Teaching Philosophy

My teaching philosophy is to understand that every child is unique and has their own special attributes to contribute to the classroom. Teaching is a process of learning from your students, colleagues, parents and community. By engaging with children in interactive activities and new learning experiences, educators can lead the next generation of success.

My teaching philosophy is to nurture and encourage lifelong learning skills through hand-on activities, open discussion, and creatively exploring their natural curiosity. All children learn through play. As an educator you will know an individual’s weakness and strengths through play. I want to help each student to overcome their weakness. I believe by taking their weakness and converting it into strength will help them be successful.
