This map viewer illustrates the scale of potential coastal flooding after varying amounts of sea level rise. Users can simulate inundation associated with one to six feet of sea level rise at various scales along the contiguous United States coast, except for the Great Lakes. USDA Web Soil Survey
"Web Soil Survey (WSS) provides soil data and information produced by the National Cooperative Soil Survey. It is operated by the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) and provides access to the largest natural resource information system in the world. NRCS has soil maps and data available online for more than 95 percent of the nation’s counties and anticipates having 100 percent in the near future. There are 161 potentially active volcanoes in the U.S. The mission of the USGS Volcano Hazards Program is to enhance public safety and minimize social and economic disruption from volcanic unrest and eruption. We accomplish this by delivering effective forecasts, warnings, and information about volcano hazards based on scientific understanding of volcanic processes.
USGS Groundwater Atlas of the United States
The Ground Water Atlas of the United States describes the location, hydrologic characteristics, and geologic characteristics of the principal aquifers throughout the 50 States, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. The groundwater information summarized in the Atlas was collected over many years by the USGS and other partner agencies and published in 2000.
