Committee Charge

The Belonging, Accessibility, Diversity, Inclusion, and Equity (BADIE) Committee, formerly EDI Committee, is charged with centering and uplifting belonging, accessibiltiy, equity, diversity, and inclusion within the University Library, as articulated in the Library’s strategic plan and in alignment with the University’s core values of inclusivity and social responsibility.  

The committee seeks to strengthen the University Library’s commitment to an equitable and inclusive environment that reflects our diverse community for both Library staff and library patrons in our public spaces and services. The committee will develop collaborative partnerships and coordinate strategic initiatives such as supporting inclusive services, developing new policies, updating existing policies, and supporting intentional strategies and solutions that boost equity, diversity, and inclusion within the University Library at Cal Poly Pomona.
