Technology Lending Program

The CPP Library Technology Lending Program provides access to a variety of devices available for hourly & semester-long loan.

Dell Laptops

A limited number of Dell Laptops are available for semester loan.
Priority will be given to students with the greatest need.

To check out a laptop, students must first complete the Care Center's Technology Loaner Request form. Please be advised that a new form will need to be completed at the beginning of each semester. If you have any questions regarding this process, please contact the Care Center at (909) 869-5071 or email carecenter@cpp.edu.

If you are in immediate need of a short-term laptop loan, the Library has a very limited number of laptops available for 4-hour loan.
Please note that these loans are non-renewable.

Using Tech Lending Laptops

Technology Lending devices are owned and managed by Cal Poly Pomona University, and as such, these items do not have the same functionality or accessibility as a personally owned device.

  • All Tech Lending devices must be connected to eduroam for Wi-Fi and internet access at the time of checkout. Due to this, laptops borrowed through Tech Lending require authentication at the time of check out using the borrower's Bronco username and password.
  • Printing has been disabled on Tech Lending devices due to campus security. Please visit the University Library website for more information on resources regarding scanning and printing.
  • Do not save data to the hard drive or desktop of loaned devices. Anything saved on the hard drive or desktop will be lost when the device is returned. Make sure to save your data to a flash drive, cloud, or email your data to yourself.
  • Access to Tech Lending is a privilege that will be revoked if the service is misused. Any misuse of borrowed Technology items for illegal purposes, unauthorized copying of copyright-protected material in any format, or transmission of threatening, harassing, defamatory or obscene materials is strictly prohibited.
