Hunt at the Library will take the form of an interactive and self-guided library “tour.” Students will visit the table by the front desk during the hours of the event. At the table, the student or students will pick up a scavenger hunt list of areas they will need to visit in the library. The areas included are the LRC, RAMP, Rm 2907, the Maker’s Studio, the RIS offices, the reflection room, Special Collections, the Bronco Family Space, and the Grand Reading Room. A unique stamp or sticker will be housed at each location for the student to “check off” that location from their list. Once the list is complete, they will return it to the front table along with their name and e-mail address. Once the event is complete, three “winners” will be randomly selected from the completed lists. There will be 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place gift cards of $50, $25, and $15.

Did you know that your use of Chegg, Discord, and/or Chat GPT can result in a violation of the academic integrity policy? Are you aware of what the consequences could be if you are caught cheating or plagiarizing on an assignment? Did you know that some consequences could result in an automatic zero or failure in the class?
The Office of Student Conduct & Integrity and the University Library have teamed up to offer the “Avoiding Plagiarism & Maintaining Academic Integrity Workshop” to students. In this workshop, we will review Cal Poly Pomona’s definition of academic integrity, review some strategies and tips on paraphrasing and citations, and discuss how the misuse of online platforms can lead to an academic integrity violation.
The workshop will be offered this Fall 2023 Semester as follows: Thursday – September 7th, Tuesday – September 26th, Tuesday – October 17th, Thursday – November 16th, and Tuesday - December 5th. The sessions will be offered in a hybrid format this semester and held during U-Hour (12pm). Students will have an opportunity to attend in-person on a first-come, first-serve basis. Otherwise, students will have an opportunity to attend the session online via Zoom. We will email registrants with more details after sign-up. For any specific questions regarding the workshop, you may email Nicole Mendoza at mendoza@cpp.edu.
