Using the University Library

Why use the Library if everything I need is online?

Unfortunately, not all information is available online, and many things online cost money, are factually inaccurate, or otherwise unreliable.

How can the Library help me?

During your time at Cal Poly Pomona, your instructors will expect you to use a variety of academic resources, including books, peer-reviewed articles, as well as specific research journals and databases. Many of the library materials you will need are available electronically, including over 100 academic databases full of information to support your research projects and class assignments. Many of the relevant resources available in throughout the databases, books, and journals in the University Library cannot be located by searching Google – though Google is a great place to start your research!
