All library users must review COVID-19 Protocols by visiting CPP Safer Return, and comply with all Safety Protocols for Campus before entering the library. As of April 2, masks are strongly recommended but not required in the building. Free masks are available at the 1st Floor Information Desk, 2nd Floor Circulation Desk, and the 2nd Floor Tech Help Desk.
Access to the Media Studio
- The Media Studio is available to all CPP students, faculty, and staff.
- To gain access to the room, you must first make a reservation.
- At the time of your reservation, you will proceed to the 2nd floor circulation desk to check out the Media Studio Kit.
- The Media Studio is not to be used as an extension of Faculty/Faculty Teaching Assistant Office Hours; or classrooms; Fraternity, Sorority, or club/organization meeting space.
Food and Drink
- No food or drink is allowed in the Media Studio.
Musical Instruments
- No musical instruments are allowed in the Media Studio
Animals in the Library
- Bringing animals into the library building is not permitted,
except for an individual accompanied by his/her service animal.

Disorderly Behavior
- Please DO NOT engage in disorderly behavior of any kind, including verbal abuse, threats of violence, sexual harassment, or the activities that interfere with the activities of library staff and patrons. Behaving in a way that interferes with an employee's performance of his/her duties, including, but not limited to, verbal abuse, intimidation, sexual harassment or harassment on account of race, religion, ethnic background, gender, or sexual orientation, violates the California Penal Code Sections 415 and 415.5.
Abuse of Materials, Equipment, Furniture, and Facilities
- Mutilating library materials by marking, underlining, removing pages or portions of pages, removing binding, removing barcodes, removing call number labels, removing electronic theft devices, using post-it's and paperclips or in any other way, damaging or defacing library materials. Maliciously accessing, altering, deleting, damaging, or destroying any computer system, laptop, network, computer program, or data. Such acts may be construed as vandalism and violate California Education Code Section 19910 and California Penal Code Section 594.
Smoking/Alcoholic Beverages/Illegal Drugs
- Smoking products of any sort (including e-cigarettes), drinking alcoholic beverages and using illegal drugs are prohibited. Student violators will be subject to CSU (California State University) student disciplinary procedures established pursuant to Title 5, Section 41301, of the California Code of Regulations.
Noise Disturbance
- While the Media Studio is designed to make video and audio recordings, excessive noise that would otherwise create a disturbance to other library patrons is prohibited. The library staff has the right to request that you reduce the volume of your recording. This type of behavior is in violation of California Penal Code Section 415 and 415.5.
Clean-up
- Media Studio users are expected to leave the room in excellent condition.
- Please remove any trash.
- Please make sure all users exit the Media Studio prior to check-in of the Media Studio Kit.
- Return all materials to the Media Studio Kit and return to the Circulation Desk on the 2nd floor upon leaving the Media Studio.
- Late fees will be imposed for any overdue items.
