"Libraries store the energy that fuels the imagination. They open up windows to the world and inspire us to explore and achieve, and contribute to improving our quality of life. Libraries change lives for the better." - Sidney Sheldon
From April 5 to April 9, 2020, Cal Poly Pomona University Library celebrates National Library Week. During this annual event, we highlight the contributions of libraries, librarians, and library workers. NLW also promotes library use and support. The theme for this year is "Welcome to your library." Due to our unique situation with Covid-19, we will help students, faculty, and staff find library virtual services and online resources from home.

Our library faculty and staff made library guides (aka LibGuides) to inform, educate, and entertain the Cal Poly Pomona community and beyond. Here is a list of the most popular library guides since the last National Library Week. You might find something there that interests you
We also have other fun LibGuides such as Focus on Finals, Graphic Design, Holiday Events, and Fandom Culture.
We know that staring at a computer screen all day to do Zoom classes and having one location be your workspace, school space, and relaxation space can be extremely stressful. We have some wonderful library resources to help you deal with stress so that you can succeed in your classes and your workplace.
Mindfulness in the Library - Practicing mindfulness is a great way to lower your blood pressure and improve your focus. Check out these incredible resources to help you.
Focus on Finals Resources - We compiled a gigantic list of great ways to deal with stress for Finals, but you can use many of these videos and tutorials to help you de-stress for anything.
Drawing Applications - Drawing is a great way to relieve stress. It boosts your creativity and expands your skills. Linked is a great sketch website, but you could draw on anything, a piece of paper, your smartphone, and tablet, and it would produce the same de-stressing effect.
If you have any more suggestions and resources, please send them to our library head of outreach and events, Kris Zoleta on knzoleta@cpp.edu
Cal Poly Pomona has a Library Club that does its events and partners with groups all over the campus. Click on the link to join the Library Club. You can become part of the conversation in the Library Club's Discord Server.
The library club meets on the first Monday of the month; to see the upcoming club meetings, we have it on the main library calendar. There is no membership fee to join!
