W.K. Kellogg Arabian Horse Library

Finding aids for archival collections at the W.K. Kellogg Arabian Horse Library may be found on Special Collections and Archives' page on the Online Archive of California.

Books and periodicals at the W.K. Kellogg Arabian Horse Library may be found searching the Cal Poly Pomona University Library catalog "OneSearch".

• OneSearch searches the collections of all 23 California State University campuses by default, including physical books and media and electronic resources such as database articles.
• The W.K. Kellogg Arabian Horse Library (WKKAHL) is considered a location within the Cal Poly Pomona University Library. So using OneSearch Advanced search will not automatically limit your results to the WKKAHL.
• To find the material at the WKKAHL using OneSearch, you need to deliberately limit your search to Cal Poly Pomona's University Library and to Books & Media following the steps below:

1) Follow the link to OneSearch. Click on Advanced Search to the right of the search box:

2) Select "Books & Media (CPP)"

3) Enter your search term(s) in the field(s) and click "Search." Results for all locations at the Cal Poly Pomona University Library (including the W.K. Kellogg Arabian Horse Library) will come up. Remember, the W.K. Kellogg Arabian Horse Library (WKKAHL) is considered a location within the Cal Poly Pomona University Library.

4)  Limit your search results to only show items in the WKKAHL. Use the menu titled "Tweak my results" to the left of your list search results. The full Tweak my results menu has been cut off in the screenshot above. Here is a screenshot of the full menu:

5) Click on Location. Materials within the WKKAHL will have locations codes that begin with "Arabian Horse."

The different locations (Arabian Horse Periodical, Arabian Horse Restricted, etc.) simply indicate where the materials are physically shelved in WKKAHL. Staff can help you locate these materials.
